  • Birds of North America Online. This database contains information about thousands of bird species. It includes articles, photos, maps, and even sound recordings. Database maintained by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
  • Brock's Birds of Indiana. This collection provides articles, data tables, and images for various bird species native to Indiana. Birds are organized by family.

 

Mammals 
  • Mammals of Indiana. John O. Whitaker, Jr. (2011). This e-book provides lists of Indiana mammal species and identification keys.

 

Other electronic reports and studies 
  • Indiana Natural History Project. Lists more than 30 electronic titles that are available full-text. Explores Indiana's natural history. Compiled by the IU Life Sciences Library

Newspaper Sources

  • Newspaper Source. This database provides selected full text from 25 national newspapers, including the Bloomington Herald Times, from 1995 onward. When you follow the link, be sure to select "Newspaper Source" as your desired database (rather than Academic Search Premier).

 

Journal articles & Policy

  • Environmental Abstracts. This database includes information on wildlife, agriculture, energy, pollution issues, and more. Search for articles, conference papers, government reports, and legal documents.
  • Web of Knowledge. This database indexes articles from an array of scientific disciplines, including environmental science, animal behavior, biology, and underwater science.
