Articles are found by searching databases. IUB Libraries have subscriptions to databases that will either take you to citations for journal articles (articles that are in print journals) or articles that are fulltext online.

 

Note: To use article and image databases off campus you must log in to the Indiana University system using your username and passphrase.

The world's most contemporary, reliable and extensive reference work on artists. It contains authoratative, up-to-date biographical information on more than 1 million artists.

 

Artbibliographies Modern

Abstracts of international publications in all aspects of art and design since 1900; photography since 1839; and architecture prior to 1980.

 

Art Full Text

Full text articles and abstracts from international publications.

 

Art Index Retrospective

Citations and abstracts for artlicles on all aspects of art and architecture published in over 420 international journals between 1929 and August 1984.

 

Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals

Index to periodicals in architecture and design.

 

Bibliography of the History of Art

Indexes and abstracts of art-related books, conference proceedings, dissertations, exhibition and dealer's catalogs and articles from more that 4,300 journals.

 

Design and Applied Art Index

International Index to design and craft journals; contains references to 500+ journals published since 1973 and data on over 50,000 designers, craftspeople, studios and workshops.

 

EBSCO Academic Search

Provides fulltext coverage of magazine, newspaper, and scholarly journals for almost every academic discipline.

 

JSTOR
Contains complete runs of hundreds of important journal titles in more than 30 arts, humanities, and social science disciplines. The full text of these scholarly journals can be browsed online and searched, and the page images can be printed.
