The Green Box Pages (Country resources) - It has been a tradition in our Library to collect information about individual countries in green boxes, making it easy to access what we have selected as the best current information. These are our virtual Green Boxes. There are also statistical resources

 

Urban Studies Abstracts - "Urban Studies Abstracts includes bibliographic records covering essential areas related to urban studies, including urban affairs, community development, urban history, and other areas of key relevance to the discipline. Records are selected from many of the top titles within the discipline, including Journal of Urban Affairs, Urban Studies, and Canadian Journal of Urban Research."

 

PAIS International - Index to articles, books, studies, selected official documents and other resources on public policy issues, public administration, law, politics and government.1972-

 

Historical Abstracts - covers modern world history (excluding the United States and Canada which are covered in America: History and Life) from 1450 to the present. It currently indexes about 2,000 journals, with indexing also for some books and dissertations. Most of the article citations include abstracts of 75-100 words.

 

Sociological Abstracts - indexes the international literature in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. It provides abstracts to journal articles, books, book chapters, dissertations, and conference papers, and citations to book reviews.

 

Homeland Security Digital Library - The Indiana University - Bloomington (IU) is subscribed to the full HSDL Collection. Over 87,400 documents related to homeland security policy, strategy, and organizational management from a wide variety of sources including federal, state and local governments; international governments and institutions; nonprofit organizations and private entities.

 

TRID (the TRIS and ITRD database) - IUB is a depository for publications of the Transportation Research Board.Most are available online currently but historical ones may be retrieve from the Libraries’ in print.

 

World Health Organization - WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends. Great for Statistics on health issues.
