Academic Search (EBSCO)

An online resource that covers many subject areas in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities with many publication types: books, magazines, newspapers, education reports, and academic journals. The reading level varies from expert to non-expert. Contains both abstracts (summaries of articles and books with links to request the full article/book) and complete articles.

 

ARTSTOR

An online resource with images related to architecture, art, humanities, and social sciences.

 

Associated Press (AP) Photo Archive

Contains the AP's current photos and a huge selection of pictures from their 50 million image print and negative library.  International in scope.


CAMIO RLG's Catalog of Art Museum Images Online

The (Art Museum Image Consortium) contains over 100,000 downloadable digital images of art works and other documents dating from BC to the present.


EBSCO Images

Contains over 100,000 images including a wide range of photos and maps with an emphasis on world news and events as well as contemporary historical photos of people, places, and the natural kingdom.

 

ERIC

Indexes and abstracts.  Materials in education and related fields.  Publication types include professional and academic journals, books, and full-text of most of the ERIC documents from 1993 to the present.

 

Ethnic NewsWatch

Features newspapers, magazines, and journals of the ethnic and minority presses, representing overlooked perspectives.  With coverage from 1990 to the present.


JSTOR Journal Archive

An online resource that covers many subject areas, including the humanities and social sciences, with academic journals. All articles will be available in pdf format.

 

LexisNexis Academic

An online resource for finding newspaper articles from around the world, from 1980 to present day. Reading level varies from expert to non-expert. All articles will be available in pdf format.

 

Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy

 An online resource that offers brief overviews on a variety of topics in the field of philosophy.  All entries are available in full-text online.
