Services We Offer
|
Folklore Collection exists to foster learning and research in folklore and ethnomusicology and related fields. To that end we provide collections and reference services to the faculty and students of Indiana University and also to researchers worldwide. Specific services include: |
- Reference We answer several queries per week from interested researchers worldwide, in person or via phone, email, or mail.
- Bibliographic instruction We invite Indiana University faculty and AIs to consult the folklore librarian for customized classes, tours, workshops or handouts for classes.
- MLA Folklore Bibliography Since 1989, this project has been based in the Folklore Collection. Relying on our serial holdings, the project produces one-third of the entries in the folklore volume of the MLA Bibliography. This project is funded by Indiana University, the Modern Language Association, and the American Folklore Society.
- Publications: Recent Acquisitions in Folklore; Indiana Folklore Dissertations, Journals & Monographic Series in the Folklore Collection.
