The study of the social forces that influence human behavior. Used in a variety of disciplines and practices, sociology addresses theory, experimentation methods, data and content analysis, and other professional practices.

The Sociology Collection supports upper division undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as Ph.D. and faculty research. A subject librarian has been dedicated to the collection since 1965.
