English and American Language and Literature

The English and American Literature collection is extensive with materials spanning the entire range of English studies including but not limited to Anglo-Saxon and Medieval Literature, Romanticism and the Regency Period, Victorian Studies, and Restoration Literature.

Materials ranging from literary theory to postcolonial and ethnic American literatures as well as creative writing and gender, and performance studies are aggressively collected.  Holdings in 18th, 19th, and 20th century American and British literature are especially strong.

The collection is complemented by several digital collections, including Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO), Early English Books Onine (EEBO) Early Amerian Fiction, Victorian Women Writers Project and  Wright American Fiction.
