The E. Lingle Craig Preservation Laboratory sustains the IU Libraries' mission to support and strengthen teaching, learning, and research, by preserving collections and the information they contain in usable and accessible formats.

The Craig Lab provides a full range of conservation services to all of the libraries on the Bloomington Campus. The lab contains state of the art workspaces for book and paper conservation, reformatting of brittle and severely damaged materials, and the Kasemake KM 503A plotter, a tool used for mass production of enclosures and the first unit of its kind in an academic library.
